Just like Steven Sinofsky said last month (May 2011), “[We] have emphasized that we are at the technology demonstration stage”.
I read this comment as “we just have shown you that we are dead serious about the re-imagining Windows concept”, Windows 8 is not just a minor face-lift, it is the boldest move so far from MSFT since the launch of Windows in the 1980s.
Not even Cloud Computing is as bold as this major departure from what was “eternal truth” at the Windows Camp.
From this early demo, each thing I see in Windows 8 has the qualities of a potential Game Changer.
